GitHub App Setup
Install the PolyLever GitHub App on your account or organization, choose which repositories to enable, and sync them as dashboard projects.
Before GitHub opens
- 1
Sign in to PolyLever
Go to the login page and sign in with email, Google, or GitHub. You'll land on your home dashboard.
- 2
Click Install GitHub App
On your dashboard, click the Install GitHub App button. GitHub opens in a new tab with the PV-PolyLever install page.
On GitHub's install page
GitHub shows a page like the one below. Walk through each numbered step on the screenshot.

- 3
Confirm your account
At the top, check that GitHub shows the right account or organization — for example, Install on your personal account.
- 4
Choose which repositories
Under for these repositories, pick All repositories or Only select repositories. Most people choose only the repos they want reviewed.
- 5
Select your repositories
Click Select repositories, search for your repo, and add it. You'll see each one listed below the dropdown.
- 6
Review permissions
PolyLever needs read access to your code and read/write access to checks, commit statuses, and pull requests so reviews can run on pushes.
- 7
Click Install
When everything looks right, click the green Install button. GitHub sends you back to PolyLever to finish setup.
After you click Install
- 8
Return to your dashboard
After installing, you'll be redirected back to PolyLever. Your connected repositories appear as projects on the home dashboard.
- 9
Push code to get a review
Push a commit to any connected repo. PolyLever automatically reviews the changes — open the project to read the results.
